The staff were very friendly and the renting ski service was amazing. The instructors were great as well and we appreciated the hotel discount that was given. The size of the triple bed room was much bigger than we thought and the water could go to very warm temperatures which was great in the cold. There was some issue with the waterline but that was in all of Gudauri and was solved in the hotel very fast. We had a lovely stay at Hotel Carpe Diem.

This hotel offers a very poor experience in terms of service and room quality. The breakfast is subpar, and the staff in the main restaurant are exceptionally rude and unaccommodating. They appear indifferent to guests’ needs and act unprofessionally. I do not recommend this establishment. If you want to enjoy your time in Gudauri, I suggest choosing a different hotel.

НИ В КОЕМ РАЗЕ!!! Отель вообще не стоит тех денег, что просят! Главное ГОРЫ и каталка! (девиз этой поездки.) А остальное… а вот остальное - ни в какие ворота. Через одного явная не приязнь к России и русским, намеренное проявление не уважения к русскоговорящим, от предоставления номера в отеле до обслуживания в ресторане, номер ниже заявленной категории, ожидание в ресторане, даже если ты один - 30 минут на кофе и бокал местного вина. В захудалой кафешке меню больше и разнообразнее. Кофемашина, кстати, вчера сломалась и ее до сих пор не наладили. Хорошо, я кофе не пью, а кто без него утром совсем не может, им каково? Отношение персонала отеля и других заведений или никакое, или хамоватое. Отель 4 звезды… не дотягивает и до 3-х, не одну ночь поспать спокойно не получилось, лаяли собаки под окнами, на мою просьбу убрать собак - ответ был шикарный… они не наши. Так собаки и выли и лаяли каждую ночь! Заселили в номер с видом на стену! Хотя был оплачен люкс. Грязные и обшарпанные стены, не работающая сантехника, протекающие трубы батарей, окна через которые все слышно и сквозит ветер, на ресепшене ничего и никогда не знают.. да видимо и не хотят знать.. отключают тел консьержа по ночам, заходят в номера хоть и весит табличка не беспокоить, такси за 500 метров в буквальном смысле - 20€, а идти пешком по нечищенной дороге без пешеходной зоны и гололед, даже опасно, (а ходить приходилось ! Магазина, ресторана приличного, и обменника около отеля попросту нет) цены на одинаковое меню во всех заведениях 🙏 московские. Раздолбанные палатки у подъемников на «перекусить» с полной антисанитарией и шашлыками, которые руками насаживают и снимают - это что то, без перчаток соответственно. Чего стоит только пьяный в дупло охранник отеля, который пытался понять нравится ли мне Грузия или нет… и это в 13-00 !! Что такое сервис и клиенто расположенность в этом отели не знают вообще. После 2-х дней не хочется вступать с местными в диалоги на любые темы. Хамство и показное недружелюбие повсюду! На любой вопрос- отсылка к России! Немногочисленные заведения на курорте считают себя обязанными, предоставить скидку в 20% тем, кто против России. Про СПА в отеле даже писать не стану. Из хорошего-только ГОРЫ и каталка. Трассы шикарные!

Old good hotel
Old good hotel. Good location for ski in/ski out. Ski depot is small. Room could be organized in practical way and furniture could be refreshed. Spa is simple one.

We went in the summer season and the views out of the hotel were just majestic, we got the two bedroom room which was the biggest and the best room available in the hotel it had three balcony from the room and the views from all three were just awesome, the room looks outdated but for the budget its fine, the breakfast was a disappointment in the hotel with no variety in food and no one to address the concerns of the diners, hot water is also a issue as it was not consistent but better than the hotels we found in Georgia.

Cold employees, cold diner Personnel très antipathique et désagréable avec les clients. Petit déjeuner et dîner : les plats chauds sont froids. Impossible de pouvoir consommer un peu de vin pendant le dîner. Pas de petit déjeuner avant 08h30 et ouvre en retard. À éviter si vous voulez passer un séjour agréable.

Carpe Diem is really well situated. Ski lift is a short two-minute walk. Really is ski out ski in to the boot room. Quiet. Also it’s nearest to the night skiing. Room was comfortable and clean with lots of storage space. Food was ok and good value. Staff nice too. New restaurant attached has a good bar and the food is good. Half-board dinner was not 5-star but ok. Ski shop downstairs as part of hotel made hiring easy.

This is a terrible hotel. Do not stay here!!! The manager of the hotel was rude and the staff unhelpful. They could barely speak English. We arrived in a storm at 6:30 am after a 18 hour trip. People were left to drag their suitcases up an 800 meter slope in half a meter high of snow. The entrance to the hotel was not cleared of snow that night or in the following days. The entrance to the hotel did not have a mat and thus was a slip hazard and in spite of asking the staff on a daily basis to put a mat down so people would not fall and hurt themselves, the staff did nothing and neither did the manager. The bed was cardboard hard. The ski rental shop was on a lower level so people had to climb with their uncomfortable ski shoes up narrow stairs with no rail to hold on to, to access the ski storage room only to be screamed at by the unfriendly manager. The staff did not help with suitcases in any shape or form. Taxis arriving near the hotel entrance skidded on the ice and very nearly missed hitting my friend who half a meter to the right would have landed up in hospital. The ski slope was accessible but demanded a 5 minute walk up the slope. Breakfast was very very basic. Stale bread, a few croissants, jams some cucumber and tomatoes cheese and on good days scrambled eggs. The hotel has an atm machine thank gif because the nearest change is a 25 minute walk away in the snow. There is no village or shops for a nice apres ski experience. The slopes are wide and not very crowded. Although I enjoyed them I am not a super good skier I believe they mostly suit people with a basic level of skiing. So not a great place to go skiing and definitely not the hotel you’d want to stay at.
